Spring Black Bear Alaska

Intro

Hunt the bays and tidelands during Spring or spot and stalk along tributaries for your trophy sized coastal Black Bear. We will constantly spend time glassing from the comfort of our vessel. Once a bear is located and you decide you want to pursue your trophy we will provide a skiff, radio and gear needed. Most Black Bears taken square over six feet and many over seven. We will also spend time setting crab traps for Dungeness as well as shrimping in local areas, all fishing gear provided.

The weather plays a huge part in any Alaskan Hunting Adventure. Please keep this in mind when booking your hunt. We are equipped with 18ft Inflatables as well as aluminum skiffs with new 20hp motors which will allow you to cover miles of coastline during spring hunts.

Black Bears are coming down from hibernation to feed on sedge grass and will spend hours in bays scavenging for food. Glassing for hours is not uncommon as bears are usually spotted from the main vessel along beaches and tidal meadows throughout this region.

Wounded Bear policy:

Alaska hunting regulation state that any bear wounded and not recovered will count toward your bag limit for that year. Please ensure you are proficient with your rifle or bow. When you arrive we will check your rifles for zero before hunting.
