Sitka Black-tail Deer are extremely abundant in this region with little hunting pressure allowing us to present many opportunities to see and pursue these animals.
The rut is the prime time to book as bucks become less aware of their surrounds and drop their defense. It’s a great opportunity to use calls and makes it even a better opportunity for bow hunters. Deer season starts the 1st of October. You will be hunting/glassing beaches, bays and mountainous terrain.
Alaska resident Hunters are allowed up to 3 deer per person (ADFG can change this annually so check regulations). Non-resident hunters are allowed 1 deer per person.
The start of every trip begins with traveling from your location to the hunting grounds on either one of our aircraft on floats or a boat. Once you arrive to your vessel one of our Captains will ensure you are taken care of from day one until your hunt is over. A hot meal will be served every morning as well providing lunch supplies and snacks for your hunting adventure.
We can glass for deer from the luxury of the yacht or we can transfer you to one of many locations for spot and stalk hunting. You can choose which style suits you best. Each group of hunters will be provided a hand held VHF Marine radio to communicate with our team when ready to be picked up or to help transport your trophy. After the hunt is over you will return to the boat for dinner, the processing of your trophy and time to relax.
If the Captain determines to change locations due to the weather, we will do this at his discretion. Our goal is to provide you with the most incredible hunting adventure you can have all while keeping safety in the forefront. All of our Captains are extremely experienced in their areas and have hundreds of hours operating in some of the most extreme and harshest conditions.

Season dates are August 1st through December 31st. Earlier in August and September deer tend to stay in the Alpine areas of the islands and mainland. This is an extremely physically demanding hunt and requires hiking to these higher elevations. If you are physically disabled or think you are not capable of this type of hunt, please book a later season hunt with us as deer tend to spend time combing beaches and bays from November through end of season in December. We will fit up to 2-4 hunters per trip.
Cancellation Policy
A 25% deposit confirms the hunt more than 1 year in advance. 50% deposit is due one year before the hunt date. Final 50% due 90 days before the hunt. If hunt is canceled by the client the deposit will only be refunded if the same hunt date can be rebooked at the same rate by either the client or if rebooked by us minus a 10%.

Trophy Care
We take great care in preparing the hides and skulls in a professional manner. Ears, eyes, lips, paws, or hooves will be turned, salted, and re-salted before boxing hides in waxed leakproof seafood boxes. We arrange sealing the hides and skulls with ADF&G. You can either take your trophies home as luggage or FedEx them same day air to your choice of location at your expense.
