Mountain Goat Alaska

Mountain Goat Alaska

Intro

Southeast Alaskas Coastal Mountain Range has one of the highest density of Mountain Goats in the world and can be easily accessed by boats. Our late season hunts for Mountain Goats in Southeast Alaska provide an excellent opportunity for trophy Billies well over nine inches with great coats this time of year. The week long hunts start the end of October and finishes around the middle of November. Late season hunts are not as physically demanding as goats are often found in lower elevations providing the bowhunter an excellent opportunity as well.

7-Day Mountain Goat Hunts for Residents only – $9,500

Season dates are September 15th through December 15th. From September through October, goats tend to stay in the Alpine areas of these rugged islands and the mainland. This is an extremely physically demanding hunt and requires hiking to higher elevations ranging from 1000-3000ft. If you are physically disabled or think you are not capable of this type of hunt, please book a later season hunt with us, as goats tend to spend time at lower elevations from November through the end of season in December, where they spend time during the rut offering you a less physically demanding hunt near lower wintering areas. This, in turn, offers you the ability to hunt from the comfort of our boat as your base camp.
